Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Technical Director to oversee the football operations and technical aspects of our club. This pivotal role will ensure the alignment of the club’s football philosophy, coaching standards, and player development programs. The Technical Director will collaborate with key stakeholders to implement long-term strategies, manage coaching staff, and drive the club’s competitive success across all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement the club’s technical and football strategies to achieve both short-term and long-term goals.
• Ensure the consistent application of the club’s football philosophy across all teams and departments.
• Lead the creation of a structured player development pathway from academy to first team.

Operational Oversight

• Oversee the performance and development of coaching staff, ensuring alignment with the club’s objectives.
• Manage technical budgets, including coaching resources, training equipment, and facilities.
• Ensure compliance with league and federation regulations regarding technical operations.

Player Development and Performance

• Monitor and evaluate the progress of players, providing feedback to coaches on their development plans.
• Introduce innovative training methods and technologies to enhance player and team performance.
• Collaborate with the recruitment team to identify and integrate talent into the club.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with the Head Coach, academy staff, and recruitment team to align on strategies and objectives.
• Provide regular updates to the Director of Football and club management on technical matters.
• Represent the club in technical discussions with governing bodies and industry forums.

Education and Training

• Establish a coaching education program to enhance the skills and knowledge of the club’s technical staff.
• Promote continuous learning and development within the coaching and player community.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in a senior technical or coaching role, preferably within a professional football club.
• Deep understanding of football coaching, player development, and performance analysis.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, fostering strong relationships within the club.
• Knowledge of modern football methodologies, trends, and technologies.
• Relevant coaching licenses (e.g., UEFA Pro License) or equivalent qualifications are required.
• Familiarity with league and federation technical regulations and standards.
