Assistant Head Coach

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Assistant Head Coach to join our team and contribute to the development and success of our football club. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Head Coach to design and implement training programs, develop player strategies, and ensure optimal team performance both on and off the pitch. As an Assistant Head Coach, you will play a vital role in fostering player development, ensuring tactical excellence, and upholding the club’s values and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Training and Development

• Assist the Head Coach in planning, organizing, and conducting training sessions.
• Monitor player performance and provide individualized coaching to enhance skills and fitness.
• Analyze match performances and collaborate on strategic improvements.

Tactical Planning

• Work with the Head Coach to develop and implement game strategies and tactics.
• Conduct opponent analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
• Provide input on team selection and formations based on performance and strategy.

Player Mentorship

• Act as a mentor to players, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
• Address player concerns and provide feedback to promote continuous growth.
• Ensure all players adhere to the club’s code of conduct and disciplinary guidelines.

Administrative Support

• Assist in coordinating schedules, travel plans, and team logistics.
• Maintain detailed reports on player performance, attendance, and training outcomes.
• Collaborate with other staff, such as medical teams and fitness coaches, to ensure a holistic approach to player development.

Team Representation

• Represent the coaching team at media briefings, club events, and community activities.
• Uphold and promote the club’s vision, mission, and values in all interactions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in coaching at a professional or semi-professional level.
• Strong knowledge of football tactics, strategies, and training methodologies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to analyze performance data and translate it into actionable insights.
• UEFA or equivalent coaching certification is preferred.
• A passion for football and commitment to player development.
