Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Club Doctor to join our football club’s medical team. As the Club Doctor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, well-being, and optimal performance of our players. You will oversee all medical aspects of the team, provide expert medical care, and contribute to the prevention and management of injuries.

This position requires a proactive, professional, and dedicated individual who can work effectively within a high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Player Health Management

  • Conduct medical assessments for players, including pre-signing medical evaluations.
  • Provide immediate medical care during training sessions, matches, and emergencies.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage injuries and illnesses to facilitate players’ quick and safe return to training and competition.

Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation

  • Collaborate with physiotherapists, fitness coaches, and other medical staff to design and implement injury prevention programs.
  • Oversee player rehabilitation plans, ensuring adherence and monitoring progress.
  • Perform regular health checks and screenings to identify and mitigate risks.

Medical Compliance and Record-Keeping

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant medical and anti-doping regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all players.
  • Stay updated with medical advancements and best practices in sports medicine.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the coaching staff to provide medical insights and advice on player availability and workload management.
  • Attend team meetings to discuss player fitness and health status.
  • Serve as the primary medical liaison between the club and external healthcare providers.

Emergency Response

  • Be on-site during training sessions and matches to provide immediate medical care.
  • Ensure all medical equipment is up-to-date and available during matches and training.
  • Train staff and players on basic first aid and emergency response protocols.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with a specialization in sports medicine or orthopedics preferred.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in Saudi Arabia.
  • Proven experience as a sports doctor, preferably in a football or high-performance sports environment.
  • Strong understanding of sports injuries, treatment methods, and rehabilitation protocols.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Familiarity with anti-doping regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Passion for sports and commitment to the health and success of players.
